A part of my relationship to the internet:

So true

dayofthedreamweavers:

britticisms:

I’ll come home alone. I’ll browse the internet and hear about interesting things but never do them. I’ll learn about cool people but never meet them. I’ll listen to music and never be able to play it like I want to play it. I’ll daydream and the dream will seem so real and so possible that I can taste it. I will become enveloped by it, at least temporarily, and everything will seem all right. And then a couple of days will go by, and I’ll forget, or get stressed out, or get sad, and all of that (those dreams) will go away.

This advances this recurring thought I’ve been having about the Internet as an addiction, pure and simple. More akin to sugar than heroin, but a monkey on my back at times nonetheless. A generally pleasant monkey, though.

Borders bookstore- cute asian with tight blue shirt - m4m - 22 (Midtown)

Date: 2009-08-04, 10:31PM EDT

You were a cute, skinny Asian guy wearing a tight blue shirt with sunglasses hanging on your collar. You had ear studs, at least on your left ear. I was a cute, skinny Asian guy wearing a tight red shirt with sunglasses hanging on my collar, with earphones on.

We were both at Borders bookstore at Midtown/Penn Station (32nd St and 7th Ave) on Wednesday, July 1st around 1 pm, circling around the “Buy 1 Get 1 half off” table trying to get each other’s attention. We picked up the same books. I think you tried to make me notice and say something to you, but I was too shy so I just stared at my book.

I want to see you again! I thought to myself, “How often do you meet a cute Asian guy at a bookstore looking at the same books as you?” You made my day that day. Hope we meet again some day.
